Nate Marquardt re-signs with Zuffa; will fight for Strikeforce title

Nate Marquardt has resigned with Zuffa, under the Strikeforce banner. He will face Tyron Woodley for the Welterweight title according to UFC Tonight.

Guerilla reporter FrontRowBrian had reported earlier that this was the case, and the UFC confirmed it moments ago.

UFC president Dana White had originally said that Marquardt was “done” after he tested positive for TRT (testosterone replacement therapy) the day before his main event fight with Rick Story.

But as often is the case, tempers have cooled and Nate is back with Zuffa, and one step closer to getting back into the UFC.
