Frankie Edgar opens as betting favourite over Ben Henderson

Frankie Edgar has opened as a slight favourite over new UFC Lightweight Champion Benson Henderson. Frankie Edgar has opened at -125 with Ben Henderson at -105.

BestFightOdds are offering these odds as of today, but they are sure to change over the months to come.

The thinking behind this may be that Frankie has won all of his rematches to date, excluding the draw with Gray Maynard, who he went on to TKO in the rubber match.

However, Benson Henderson is also undefeated in rematches. He originally won a 5 round decision over Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone at WEC 53 in a bout which was awarded Fight of the Night, but in the rematch Henderson tapped Cerrone in the first round to retain his WEC Lightweight belt and in the process earned himself another bonus, this time the Submission of the Night.
