Andy Ryan today revealed to Andrew McGahon that a decision has been made to move the next Battlezone from the 27th of September to the 29th of November.

The return of the successful Dublin promotion was put on hold for a variety of reasons, mainly amateur fighters half heartedly replying and agreeing to fights, as well as limited warm up room for competitors due to a double booking at the venue on the day.

Not wanting to put on a show half hearted, this prompted Ryan to move the date and also match the card up accordingly with some interesting twists.

Headlined by a Pro title fight as Johnny Dargan (SBG) takes on Karl Roche (Ryano), it’s a monster match up as Dargan fights for the first time since his victory over Camille Bonnet last November.

Co-main event see’s Mick Brennan issue an open challenge to any professional FW in Ireland as he looks for a challenger for his belt.

There’s also 3 amateur title fights on the card as there’s been another call out to a division in Ireland.

Battlezone amateur WW Champion Thomas Hogan has issued an open challenge to any WW in Ireland to make their case known for a shot against him, although there are many top amateur WW’s in the country, the standout at the moment would have to be Ayo Daly who has sounded out Hogan in the past for a potential bout.

Darren O’Gorman has handed back his BW title around speculation that a pro debut may be on the cards soon for the Trials MMA man, so the vacant 135 title will be contested between Adam Caffrey (Rush) and Frans Mlambo (SBG).

Finally the amateur 125 Title will be up for grabs and Ryan has made an open plea for any willing flyweights who want the opportunity to make themselves available, as he is unsure of the availability of many of them, he has two guys in mind but wouldn’t comment on speculation.
