King Mo to face Mirko Cro Cop in RIZIN openweight GP

RIZIN Fighting Federation have confirmed that Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal will replace Wanderlei Silva, who is out with an inury, during the promotion’s upcoming openweight GP.

Lawal will face Mirko Cro Cop, who Silva was originally scheduled to face, in the quarter finals of the event taking place on December 29th in the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan.

“King Mo”, who won the same tournament back in 2015,  enters this time round fresh of a decision win against Satoshi Ishii during Bellator’s debut in Ireland last weekend.

The winner of the bout will advance to the semi-finals on December 31st.
