Straight Blast Gym announces New Location in Portarlington, Co. Laois

Irish MMA veteran Phil Mulpeter announced today that a new Straight Blast Gym location will be opening in Portarlington, Co. Laois, Ireland.

The new “5000sq ft location in Portarlington will be the largest martial arts training facility outside of Dublin” and will open in early January according to the press release.

[Press Release] 19th December, Portarlington, Co. Laois – Straight Blast Gym, the most successful martial arts team in Europe and home to RTE Irish Sportsperson of the year Conor McGregor, is expanding its network this week and opening a new location in Co. Laois. The building will officially open for business early January and will offer customers world class martial arts training, with classes suited to those looking to shed a few pounds right up to competitive athletes.

The affiliate will be headed up by longtime SBG standout, Philip Mulpeter who expressed enthusiasm about the new launch on stating ‘I am very proud to be able to bring SBG to my hometown of Portarlington. I am very grateful to John Kavanagh for the support throughout my career and with this new venture. These are exciting times and we have big plans for 2017.’ The new 5000sq ft location in Portarlington will be the largest martial arts training facility outside of Dublin. It will open from 6.30am until 10pm, seven days a week. In this modern location SBG Portatlington aims to herald the new age of martial arts training.
