Richard Kiely vs Daniel Olejniczak set for BAMMA 30

Severe MMA can exclusively reveal that Irishman Richard Kiely (1-0) will face Daniel Olejniczak (1-0) in a welterweight bout at BAMMA 30 in Dublin, Ireland.

SBG Ireland’s Kiely made a successful pro debut at BAMMA 27 in December 2016 finishing Keith McCabe with a perfectly placed knee to the body in the 1st round.

IFS’ Olejniczak was also victorious in his first bout in the pro ranks defeating Jonathan “Chopper” Reid by TKO due to punches in the 1st round of BAMMA 28 in Belfast back in February 2017.

Richard Kiely spoke to Petesy Carroll of Severe MMA and predicted another knockout: “I saw his fight against Jonathan “Chopper” Reid, I couldn’t take much from it, he was heavy in top position and looking to ground and pound.”

“I’ve seen one or two of his fights briefly, I took a cursory glance on YouTube. I’ve a fair idea what way the fight is going to pan out already so I’m not worried about it.”

“The thing with knockouts is, if you go looking for them, they don’t come,  if you try to force the knockout, it’s not going to come. When the opportunity presents itself, then you take it, and that’s what’s going to happen”

“This guy is going to look to push me up against the cage, or look to shoot and take me down. Look to change levels and take me down.

“The misconception is that because I’m coming from a prestigious kickboxing background that all I can do is kickbox and if they want to make that mistake that’s fine”

“I predict a knockout. If he shows his chin he is going to be taken out. I don’t want to give him any hints but if he shows his body he’s going to get taken out or if he commits he’s going to get taken out.”

“Only thing he has to do is run away and that’s going to make for a crap fight and BAMMA won’t want him on a card again.”

BAMMA 30 will take place on 7th July 2017 at the 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland.
