Well, Here’s the Good News

It’s not all doom and gloom in the MMA world. Some members of the MMA community have been doing some great things and announcing great personal news. It’s important to stay positive and I’m here to help you achieve that goal. We have decided to help keep that positivism flowing the best that we can. Nothing but good news for you to feast your eyes on.

Alex Volkanovski retained his featherweight title this past weekend. In the build up to the fight he spoke about releasing a new children’s book. Nice to see him using his time in the spotlight for good reasons. Fair play to him!

Max Holloway is donating his fight kit to help out in his native Hawaii. Unemployment figures are raising by the day. The funds that will be raised will be donated to the Hawaii food bank.

Here he is after his fight here is Max showcasing what is going to be auctioned off. Max Holloway is a hell of a guy. What a great gesture from the man. In a moment where he could have, he never just thinks of himself. A fantastic representative of Mixed Martial Arts.

On the topic of auctioning off fight gear, Rose Namajunas is helping out in her own way. She will auction off her kit with proceeds going to UFC ⁦makeup artist Suzy Friton, who is battling cancer right now.

Irish MMA legends Paul Redmond and Chris Fields have decided to donate the proceeds from their podcast to Temple Street Hospital. A classy gesture from the two lads. Kudos to both guys.
