After Brazilian outlet Globo reported earlier today that Invicta 145lb champion Cris ‘Cyborg’ had signed for the UFC, the promotion’s president Dana White told Fox Sports magazine show ‘UFC Tonight’ tonight that Cyborg had already signed with the UFC before her bout at Invicta 11 and that if Cyborg wants the bout with champion Rousey then she needs to compete in Invicta at 135lbs first so we may have to wait until 2016 for her UFC debut.

Cyborg released this statement taking a shot at Rousey earlier via social media..

“Their excuses for not facing me are falling almost as fast as you when I catch you in the Octagon. Stop accusing me irresponsibly on anabolic steroids. I’m clean! You know I spent in various tests, many made by surprise.

“Let’s test Olympic, as Pacquiao and Mayweather, and you’ll have an excuse unless to hide behind. Lorenzo hired me, I’m back and I’m coming after you. After that fight, you or will retire and go make movies, or will escape to the flyweight, as I ran away from me in feathers.”

“You’ll never be the best to face the best. Come, because it takes two to fight. Do not be afraid. The fans see me here and just talking. Have respect for them. It’s a shame you say face Gina Carano in the featherweight and not me. Anyway, I’m behind you. Strive instead of making excuses. You can have 99 excuses not to face me, but not UFC is not being one. ”

According to BleacherReport’s Jeremy Botter she will be working with former fighter and nutrition and weight cutting specialist George Lockhart to make 135lbs and challenge Rousey.
