Undefeated prospects Rhys McKee (4-0) vs Jai Herbert (4-0) for the Lonsdale 155lb championship is in the works for the Bellator 169 and BAMMA 27 joint show at the 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland on 16th December 2016.

Northern Ireland’s McKee, usually a lightweight, made a successful professional debut at BAMMA 22 in Dublin when he rear naked choked career middleweight and welterweight John “Johnny Jitsu” Redmond in September 2015.

Since then McKee has finished Alex Masuku, Shaun Luther and Tommy McCafferty all by TKO/KO.

Herbert has also finished all four of his professional fights including a submission victory against Tony Morgan and TKO/KO finishes against Ben Bennett, Martin Sweeney and Omid Mohamadi.

We spoke to Jai Herbert earlier today who praised his upcoming opponent:

“Training is going well.. it should be a good fight. He’s technically good. He’s similar to my last opponent, a bit technically better but I think I’m a step up for him.”

The fight was first reported by WhoaTV.

Tickets go on sale at Ticketmaster on Friday 14th October 2016 at 9am IST (Irish and UK time).
