Quick Picks – UFC Fight Night: Volkov vs. Struve

After a month of Mayweather vs. McGregor madness, it’s back to earth with a bang this week as the UFC returns to the Netherlands with a pretty uninspiring line-up of fights. Tall heavyweights Alexander Volkov and Stefan Struve meet in the main event while hardcore fans will be excited to see prospects Leon Edwards and Darren Till back in action. Here are quick picks for the event.

Main Card

Heavyweight – Alexander Volkov vs. Stefan Struve – Volkov is one of the most tactically aware heavyweights and I think he’ll edge a close decision.

Women’s Bantamweight – Marion Reneau vs. Talita Bernardo – Reneau in a close decision.

Middleweight – Siyar Bahadurzada vs. Rob Wilkinson – Wilkinson for me here. I think Siyar would have won in his prime, but that has passed now.

Welterweight – Leon Edwards vs. Bryan Barberena – Edwards via KO. Barberena will be looking to take out another prospect but I think the Britain will just be too powerful.

Preliminary Card

Welterweight Darren Till vs. Bojan Veličković – Till

Lightweight Mairbek Taisumov vs. Felipe Silva – Taisumov

Lightweight Michel Prazeres vs. Mads Burnell – Prazeres

Lightweight Rustam Khabilov vs. Desmond Green – Khabilov

Light Heavyweight Francimar Barroso vs. Aleksandar Rakić – Barroso

Featherweight Mike Santiago vs. Zabit Magomedsharipov – Zabit

Light Heavyweight Bojan Mihajlović vs. Abdul-Kerim Edilov – Edilov

Lightweight Thibault Gouti vs. Andrew Holbrook – Holbrook

Bet Of The Week

Edwards via TKO/KO at 10/3.
