Paul Redmond signs with Bellator MMA

Team Ryano lightweight Paul Redmond has signed with Bellator MMA. The news was first reported by MMAFighting on Saturday evening .

The Dubliner is the latest in a long line of Irish fighters to recently sign with the American promotion. He joins the likes of Norman Parke, Richard Kiely, Will Fleury and Richie Smullen who have put pen to paper with the world’s second biggest MMA promotion.

UFC, Cage Warriors, BAMMA and KSW veteran Redmond is 14-8 in his MMA career which started in 2010 having fought the likes of Norman Parke, Phil Mulpeter and Mirsad Bektic along the way.

Redmond was signed by the UFC in 2015 but was cut after losing both of his fights at featherweight. After the UFC run, Redmond returned to his natural lightweight divison and has won four of his six outings since.

Redmond debuted in Bellator last year, beating Sergio de Jesus Santos, but now signs on as a full time member of the roster.
