UFC 255 Results

Two titles were up for grabs tonight at UFC 255. The co-main event was a flyweight battle between V. Shevchenko who was defending her belt against Jennifer Maia. There was more flyweight action in the main event, champion Deiveson Figueiredo put his strap on the line against Alex Perez.

Sasha Palatnikov and Louis Cosce put on a hell of a fight in the opening bout of the evening. Round one could be a contender for round of the year.

Palatnikov went on to get the stoppage in the third round.

Alan Jouban defeated Jared Gooden in his return to action after a layoff, he beat Gooden by unanimous decision in the welterweight division.

Nicolas Dalby got back into the win column in his welterweight encounter with Daniel Rodriguez.

Antonina Shevchenko got the job done impressively in her flyweight fight with Ariane Lipski. Shevchenko was fighting on the same card as her sister Valentina, the first time two sisters have competed on the same card in UFC history.

Joaquin Buckley kept his streak of impressive knockouts alive. He took out Jordan Wright in round two of their 170-pound scrap.

Brandon Moreno and Brandon Royval fought in a flyweight bout that could decide who fights next for the 125-pound title. Unfortunately for Royval he dislocated his shoulder at the very end of round one. Moreno was looking super impressive before the injury, he remains the number one contender in the flyweight division.

Paul Craig took home the bragging rights in his rematch with Shogun Rua the light heavyweight division. The Scot. took home the victory by second round TKO.

Katlyn Chookagian got the nod on all three judges scorecards in her flyweight battle with Cynthia Calvillo. Chookagian spoke with Joe Rogan after the fight.

Tim Means left as the winner in his welterweight fight with Mike Perry. Means won the bout by unanimous decision.

Valentina Shevchenko retained her 125-pound title when she beat Jennifer Maia by unanimous. Shevchenko outstruck and out grappled Maia for the majority of the fight. Maia took one round off the champ but that was about as good as it got for the Brazilian. Shevchenko defended her title for the fourth time.

Deiveson Figueiredo blitzed through his opponent, Alex Perez to defend his flyweight division. The champ transitioned into a slick guillotine in round one and ended the Perez’s night early in what was a hugely impressive performance from the Brazilian.
