Well, Here’s the Good News

It’s not all doom and gloom in the MMA world. Some members of the MMA community have been doing some great things and announcing exciting personal news. It’s important to stay positive, and I’m here to help you achieve that goal. We have decided to help keep that positivity flowing the best that we can. Nothing but good news for you to feast your eyes on.

UFC light-heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz has had a fantastic couple of weeks. Last month the Polish fighter welcomed his newborn son into the world.

Last week the 205-pound champion finished 7th in the Polish athlete of the year awards, soccer superstar and FC Bayern Munich player Robert Lewandowski came in first place. This was the highest entry by a Mix Martial Arts fighter since the awards began and some nice recognition for Blachowicz.

Charles Oliveira, fresh off of his impressive win over Tony Ferguson at UFC 256, did some fantastic work for struggling families in his home country. The Brazilian is ranked at number three in the lightweight division and is knocking on the door of a title shot.

On December 27, Jared Gordon went five years sober. Kudo’s to him, and we wish him well on his journey. Gordon will take on Danny Chavez in the featherweight division on the UFC Vegas 19 card this February.

Congratulations to SBG Port owner, and Bellator lightweight Philip Mulpeter and his wife Alvina on the birth of their son Bodhi.
