Irishman Paul Hughes wins Cage Warriors interim title at Cage Warriors 128

Fight Academy Ireland’s Paul Hughes captured the Cage Warriors 128 interim featherweight championship last night at Cage Warriors 128 defeating former champion Morgan Charriere by majority decision after a brilliant back and forth contest.

After the fight, Hughes squared off in the cage with current Cage Warriors champion Jordan Vucenic, the only man to have defeated the now 8-1 Irishman, in a disputed decision back at Cage Warriors 119. The two are expected to rematch next for the undisputed championship.

Team Ryano’s James Sheehan also left Cage Warriors 128 victorious after a tough fought come from behind victory which handed Omiel Brown his first professional loss and moved Sheehan to 3-2 as a professional.
