Arni ‘The Ice Viking’ Isaksson signs 3 fight deal with Cage Contender

Cage Contender have confirmed today that Arni “The Ice Viking” Isaksson has signed with the promotion on a 3 fight deal.

Arni trains out of Mjolnir and SBG Ireland with the likes of Gunnar Nelson, who debuts later this month in the UFC, Conor McGregor, Chris Fields and Cathal Pendred, to name just a few.

The promotion announced the signing via their official Twitter

We spoke to Cage Contender owner John Ferguson about who Isaksson’s first opponent will be

“We havent decided who Arni will fight yet, I’m sure people will come to their own conclusions, seeing as we have signed top European welterweights on the same day”

“We will sit down and reflect as to who Arnis first opponent will be in the next couple days”

Isaksson has fought for Cage Contender before, back in November 2010 when he submitted Ronan McKay via Arm-Triangle choke

Isaksson is a veteran of the sport and holds notable wins over the UFC’s Dennis Siver and tough Irishman Greg Loughran.
