Darren Till says Kamaru Usman is “the biggest idiot” in the welterweight division

UFC welterweight Darren Till reiterated his willingness to fight anyone in the 170lbs division. The Scouser has been called out multiple times on social media by fellow members of the welterweight roster.

Till responded to one of those call outs on this week’s Talking Brawls by branding Kamaru Usman the “biggest idiot” in the welterweight division.

Both Till (4-0-1 UFC) and Usman (6-0 UFC) are unbeaten in their UFC careers and are both coming off impressive TKO victories. Till stopped Donald Cerrone at UFC Gdansk back in October, and Usman finished Sergio Moraes at UFC Pittsburgh last September.

Number 7 ranked Till complimented Usman’s ability as a fighter but says the “Nigerian Nightmare” is “living in a dream world” if he thinks he won’t fight him.

Usman took to social media in an attempt to make a play for a fight against Till. Usman was scheduled to face Emil Meek at UFC 219 but Meek had visa issues leaving Usman without an opponent. Till responded vigorously to the call out.

“He thinks no one wants to fight him, that man lives on planet fucking Pluto – ‘Who doesn’t want to fight him?’ Yeah, ok… you’re a good grappler and you can bang – I agree. You’re a good fighter. Yeah, you are really good fighter but don’t talk shit and say I don’t want to fight you because you’re talking through your arse, you silly twat.”

“Fucking idiot. Absolute idiot. He’s the biggest idiot in the welterweight division: ‘Why is he saying shit like that, no one wants to fight him?’ Why are we in the UFC if we don’t want to fight him; that is stupid – I’ll just go get an office job then because I don’t want to fight Usman. It’s the most pathetic thing you can ever say.“

Till had a verbal altercation with Mike Perry after his victory against Donald Cerrone in Gdansk, Poland. UFC have since booked a match up between Santiago Ponzinibbio and Mike Perry at the UFC on FOX: Dos Anjos vs. Lawler card which takes place in California, Dec. 16th.

The Liverpool native will be in attendance as a guest fighter for that card and expects a verbal onslaught ‘if’ Mike Perry wins, yet the Englishman remains open to fight anyone on the roster.

“I don’t care. If Perry wins, yeah, we can make the fight, if that’s what the people want. If Santiago wins we can make that fight. But at the moment, I really don’t care. I’ll fight anyone; I don’t care, I don’t care, I really just don’t care.”
