Fabricio Werdum vs Alexander Volkov set for UFC London main event

The UFC announced today that former UFC heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum (23-7-1) will face Alexander Volkov (29-6) in the main event of UFC Fight Night London.

UFC Fight Night London takes place on 17th March 2018 at the O2 Arena in London, England, United Kingdom.

Tickets go on-sale tomorrow Friday, 2nd February 2018 at 10am GMT.

[Press Release] On Saturday, March 17, UFC® will return to London as No.3 ranked Fabricio Werdum takes on No.7 ranked Alexander Volkov in a heavyweight main event battle.

Tickets for UFC FIGHT NIGHT®: WERDUM vs. VOLKOV will be available via AXS and Ticketmaster from 10:00 a.m. GMT on Friday, February 2 and will be priced at £40, £60, £80, £100, £125 and £175 (prices do not include applicable service charges or fees).

Former UFC heavyweight champion Werdum (23-7-1; fighting out of Los Angeles, Calif., USA), will be looking to put on a dominant performance and cement his position at the top of the rankings. The Brazilian has made no secret in his desire to secure himself another shot at the title against the person who dethroned him, current world champion Stipe Miocic.

Standing in his way however, is Russia’s Alexander Volkov (29-6; fighting out of Moscow, Russia) who is undefeated in his last five MMA bouts and has taken the UFC by storm since making his debut in 2016. Most recently, Volkov knocked out Stefan Struve in his home country of the Netherlands in September last year cementing his status as one of the divisions most exciting prospects.

With both athletes looking to prove their position for title contention, everything will be to play for as they step into the Octagon® on March 17.

Tickets for UFC FIGHT NIGHT®: WERDUM vs. VOLKOV go on general sale on Friday, February 2 at 10:00 a.m. GMT via AXS and Ticketmaster. With a rapid sell-out expected, fans are advised to secure their tickets as early as possible to avoid missing out.
