Charlie Brenneman vs Daniel Roberts set for UFC on FX

A welterweight bout between Charlie Brenneman and Daniel Roberts has been booked for the UFC’s debut on FX this January.

UFC on FX 1 is set to take place from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee on January 20. A lightweight bout between Melvin Guillard and Jim Miller will serve as the evening’s main event live on FX. The preliminary bouts are expected to air on FUEL TV.

Brenneman was last seen in action getting brutally destroyed by Anthony Johnson at UFC on Versus 6 this past October. Prior to the defeat, he had a surging victory over top prospect Rick Story after taking the fight on one-day notice after Nate Marquardt was forced to withdraw for use of testosterone.

Roberts is a team Cesar Gracie fighter who has had mixed results since entering the UFC. He likely fights for his life against Brenneman after coming off of back-to-back losses to Rich Attonito and Claude Patrick in his last two fights.

The bout is expected to air on the evening’s preliminary card which is actually set to air on FUEL TV.
