Ian “M-16” Butlin announces comeback from retirement

Ian “M-16” Butlin (6-9) last fight was in 2009 at M1 Challenge, where he was TKOed via punches by Maktar Gueye at Lightweight, but the former Cage Rage and Cage Warriors Lightweight number 1 contender will return to MMA at Welterweight, a move which he believes should have come years ago.

“I’m looking to return at Welterweight, something i should of done years ago” said “M-16” Butlin

Butlin retired nearly 3 years ago, but he is still only 32 years old and coming in to his fighting prime.

“The last few years before I retired, I fought tough international opposition while struggling at Lightweight. I want to test myself at Welterweight against UK guys”

His return is penciled in for mid June 2012 at Ultimate Cage Championships in Huddersfield, England.
