Jon Jones pleads guilty to Driving While Intoxicated

UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones plea guilty today in upstate New York to a misdemeanor charge of driving while intoxicated.

A Binghamton City Court judge suspended Jones’ driving privileges were suspended while ordering him to undergo an alcohol abuse and dependency evaluation, according to a report this morning from “Press Connects.”

MMAjunkie confirmed the ruling with Broome County Assistant District Attorney Stephanie Milks.

Jones is due back in court June 19. He faces one year in jail and fines of up to $1,000, but his attorney told the judge his plea agreement was for a fine and conditional discharge, according to WBNG news.

Two additional charges of making a proper turn and another for deviating from a direct course were dismissed.

Jones was arrested in the early hours of May 19 after crashing his Bentley in Binghamton near his hometown in Ithaca. There were no injuries in the wreck.
