Diaz brothers and ‘The Scrap Pack’ to coach on TUF 16 with Roy Nelson

Cesar Gracie announced on twitter moments ago that former Strikeforce welterweight champion Nick Diaz, UFC lightweight Number 1 contender Nate Diaz, Strikeforce lightweight champion Gilbert Melendez and former Strikeforce middleweight champion Jake Shields will all be coaching on the next Ultimate Fighter for Roy ‘Big Country’ Nelson’s team.

“Our guys will be helping @roynelsonmma coach his team @nickdiaz209 @NateDiaz209 @jakeshieldsajj @GilbertMelendez will be in the next TUF” – Cesar Gracie

Roy Nelson had originally tried to bring in Kurt Angle and King Mo Lawal among others, however the UFC weren’t having any of it.

The Ultimate Fighter 16 starts this September on FX in the US and the live finale will be in December.

The coaches are former interim heavyweight champion Shane Carwin and Ultimate Fighter winner Roy Nelson and with the addition of “The Scrap Pack” things have got a whole lot more interesting
