Cage Contender: Fight Stars lightweight tournament draw complete

Cage Contender is headed to Liverpool on 1st December for Cage Contender: Fight Stars. Chris Zorba of OMMAC and John Ferguson of Cage Contender have teamed up to stage a 8 man lightweight tournament.

The draw took place in The Olympia, Liverpool earlier today. Pro boxer Tony Bellow conducted the draw and the match ups are set

The Ultimate Fighter veteran Martin Stapleton (9-1), his only loss coming to UFC fighter Paul Sass back in 2008, will take on Welshman Jamie Rogers, who has stepped in to replace Andre Winner on short notice.

Next out was Frenchman Arnold ‘Pitbull’ Quero (6-1) who was drawn to face Mihail Kazuku (5-2)

The next match up out of the hat is a rematch. Ihiekwe (5-2) and Flynn (7-7). Ihiekwe won the first bout via TKO, however the result has since been overturned after it came to light that Phil Flynn had injured himself due to the cage.

The final match up drawn sees Chris Stringer (11-9-1) who holds a win over Myles Price, taking on Tommy Maguire (12-4) who is on a 3 fight win streak since losing a decision to Ali Maclean back in 2010.
