The hardest working man in the mixed martial arts business, lightweight contender Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone, has his fourth fight of 2014 set, as he has verbally agreed to face off with fellow 155-pound standout Bobby “King” Green in the co-main event of UFC 178 in Las Vegas on September 27.

Green’s original opponent for the MGM Grand Garden Arena card, Jorge Masvidal, will now face an opponent to be determined on the same card.

“Just got the call,” Cerrone tweeted Thursday evening. “Here we go. I love this feeling, I was always the kid waiting for the school bell to ring. 3:30 / Park / after school.”

Currently on a four-fight winning streak, Colorado’s Cerrone is on the hottest run of his career, as he’s finished each of his opponents while picking up one Knockout of the Night, one Submission of the Night, and two Performance of the Night bonuses. In his most recent bout, he knocked out Jim Miller at UFC Fight Night in Atlantic City on July 16.

Fontana, California’s Green is on a pretty impressive run in his own right, as he’s won eight straight bouts, including four in the UFC. Last month, the former Strikeforce contender won a hard-fought three-round decision over Josh Thomson to improve to 23-5 and set up what promises to be a fight that could steal the show at UFC 178.

In the evening’s main event, Demterious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson defends his UFC flyweight title against Chris “Kamikaze” Cariaso.
