Aisling Daly set to face Alex Chambers at TUF 20 finale on Friday 12th December

Following an up-and-down stint in ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ house, it was today officially announced that Ireland’s Aisling Daly will make her official UFC debut as she fights on next week’s finale show. The SBG veteran will be taking on her ‘Team Pettis’ cast-mate Alex Chambers who she struck up a friendship with during their time in the TUF house.

Chambers is an Australian fighter who lost her one and only fight in the house via first round submission to the outstanding Rose Namajunas. The 36 year old came to MMA late and has fought as a pro a total of five times, winning four.

Her last professional bout before entering the house was an impressive submission win over Jodie Esquibel at Invicta FC 5. Daly, though, will be by far the biggest test of her career to date.

Although she’s 10 years Chambers’ junior, Daly is by a margin the more experienced fighter and will make her UFC debut in her 20th fight. The Dubliner has fought all over the world for shows including Invicta, Bellator and Cage Warriors and has stand-out wins over the likes of Jessica Eye and Karla Benitez.

Daly fought twice on the show; beating Angela Magana in her opening bout before giving up a close decision loss to Jessica Penne in what is probably the fight of the season so far.

The TUF 20 finale takes place at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada on December 12th and will be headlined by the first ever female strawweight title fight.
