The drug tests for the UFC 190 card on 1st August are back, and all competitors passed. The card, which took place at the HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and featured 26 fighters, was overseen by the Brazilian Athletic Commission (CABMMA) who released a statement providing the supremely positive news.

A rep from CABMMA stated that “the athletes were subject to a comprehensive testing program that consisted of both blood and urine collections”, with a USADA official overseeing the full process. The samples were tested in a WADA-accredited facility.

UFC 190’s main even saw women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey totally destroy challenger Bethe Correia via knockout in just 34 seconds to retain her title. It was a masterpiece performance from the 12-0 undefeated fighter. The event was also the most-watched PPV in UFC history confirming ‘Rowdy’ as the most popular competitor across the entire company, let alone bantamweight division.

Two of the Octagon residents at the event, Antonio Silva and Rafael Cavalcante, have previously failed drug tests but pleasingly provided clean sheets this time.

CABMMA will be overseeing the forthcoming Brazilian card on 7th November which showcases a main event rematch between Vitor Belfort and Dan Henderson.
