There is a dearth of high profile fights outside the big show this weekend, but there is still fights from Poland, England and America worth taking a look at.

SBG’s Peter Queally is in action in Poland on Saturday where he is up against local man Tomasz Jakubiec at X Cage 8. Queally suffered a setback in his last fight when he dropped a split decision to Igeu Kabesa at EFC Africa. That defeat brought Queally’s record to 5-2 and Jakubiec has similar experience with a 5-1 record so it should be an evenly contested fight. It is worth noting that Queally plans to compete in Italy in December (alongside Luke Barnatt and Karl Moore) so he will be eager to get through this fight without injury.

In the main event of X Cage 8 Michał Fijałka will face Hracho Darpinyan at light heavyweight. Both are veterans of the Polish scene and have actually fought before in 2011 with Fijałka coming out on top.

Ultimate Challenge MMA will present a card in London on Saturday which includes some Cage Warriors veterans. Despite losing his last two fights, Andy Young will compete for the vacant flyweight title. Young will be trying to restore parity to his record which currently sits at 6-7. His opponent Spencer Hewitt was also defeated by Paul Marin in Cage Warriors but his record is a slightly healthier 12-8.

In another battle of former Cage Warriors fighters, Denniston Sutherland takes on Bola Omoyele. While both men had relatively unsuccessful runs in Cage Warriors, Sutherland picked up a win against Avi Jack at Macto Championships to bring his record to 21-12 and Omoyele beat Tye Palmer at UCMMA’s last event to improve his record to 8-4.

On Saturday night in Ohio, United States Jan Finney will attempt to get her career back on track at IT Fight Series. Finney was thrown to the wolf that is Cyborg Santos in 2010 in Strikeforce and was on the end of a brutal beating by the Brazilian. Finney hasn’t won a fight since. She lost to Liz Carmouche and Holly Holm before taking a long break from the sport. Upon her return earlier this year, Finney was beaten by Valentina Shevchenko. Now she takes on a much more inexperienced foe in 4-2 Marciea Allen. Allen has competed at Invicta and WSOF and beat Carina Damm in her last outing so will be no pushover.
