Anderson Silva out of UFC 198 bout with Uriah Hall

Former long-reigning middleweight champion and MMA GOAT Anderson Silva’s comes back following his loss to Michael Bisping against American hitter Uriah Hall is tonight off.

The bout was due to take place this weekend at UFC 198 but the UFC have announced today that that no longer is the case.

The reason behind the cancellation is a stomach illness with the UFC not certain on Hall’s participation as of yet.

The full statement reads as follows.

“The homecoming fight of Anderson Silva in Curitiba will not be taking place this weekend, as the former middleweight champion has been forced off Saturday’s UFC 198 card due to an illness.

The UFC is currently exploring potential replacements to face Silva’s opponent, Uriah Hall, but it is not certain whether he will remain on the card or not.”
