UFC 205: Alvarez vs McGregor – Results

UFC 205 took place on 12th November 2016 at the historic Madison Square Garden in New York and saw UFC lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez take on UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor for the 155lb crown.

In the co-main event, newly crowned UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley attempted to defend his strap for the first time when he faced bookies favourite Stephen ‘Wonderboy’ Thompson.

The women’s UFC strawweight title was also on the line as champion Joanna Jędrzejczyk took on Karolina Kowalkiewicz.

Conor McGregor defeated Eddie Alvarez via KO in 2nd Rd (3:04). McGregor wins the UFC lightweight championship.

Tyron Woodley and Stephen Thompson fought to a Majority Draw (47-47, 47-47, 48-47). Woodley retains the UFC Welterweight championship.

Joanna Jędrzejczyk defeated Karolina Kowalkiewicz via Unanimous Decision (49-46, 49-46, 49-46)

Yoel Romero defeated Chris Weidman via KO in 3rd Rd (0:23)

Raquel Pennington defeated Miesha Tate via Unanimous Decision (29-28, 30-27, 30-27)

Frankie Edgar defeated Jeremy Stephens via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28)

Khabib Nurmagomedov defeated Michael Johnson via Kimura in 3rd Rd (2:31)

Tim Boetsch defeated Rafael Natal via KO in 1st Rd (3:22)

 Vicente Luque defeated Belal Muhammad via KO in 1st Rd (1:19)

Jim Miller defeated Thiago Alves via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 29-28, 30-27)

Liz Carmouche defeated Katlyn Chookagian via Split Decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28)
