Hardeep Rai signs with Brave Combat Federation

Brave Combat Federation announced today that Hardeep “Havoc” Rai has signed with the promotion.

Hardeep is the first British Asian to represent the UK in MMA and also the first fighter of Indian origin to win a medal at IMMAF. Hardeep won Bronze in the 2015 European Championships and Bronze in the 2016 World Championship.

According to Tapology, the Amateur fighter of Indian origin is ranked number 1 among 727 active Amateur Lightweights from The United Kingdom and Ireland.

‘Havoc’ has had a very successful amateur career with an eleven wins out of his thirteen bouts.

Hardeep will be making his pro-debut at the fifth edition of Brave at Mumbai. Residing in London, the lightweight fighter trains at Carlson Gracie & NFM.

After a dominant year, the London born fighter finished 2016 with three more fights and three more wins which resulted in him capturing two amateur lightweight championships.

“It is a dream come true to be fighting in India, honouring the warrior tradition of my ancestors. I want to behold the Indian pride in the world of Mixed Martial Arts. The overwhelming support and love from the fans and well wishers has made India feel like my second home.

“At the age 20 while my friends are trying to find themselves and take the first step in the real world, I get to travel the globe and doing a profession I love and for that I am so grateful. I am also lucky that in my position I have time for me to make the right decisions and grow as a person and a fighter. That will be my focus and with the right mindset, the right abilities, the right charisma and on April 22nd the world will see Havoc.”
