Quick Picks – UFC Fight Night: Cerrone vs. Medeiros

It’s onwards to Austin, Texas for the UFC this weekend as the MMA leader puts on a dozen fights on Sunday night. Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone is the marquee name on the card as he takes on Yancy Medeiros in a headliner which is supported by names like Derrick Lewis, James Vick, Thiago Alves and “Super” Sage Northcutt.

Here are my picks for the night.

Main Card

Welterweight: Donald Cerrone vs. Yancy Medeiros – I think this is all about Medeiros establishing his boxing range. If he can’t, he’ll lose. But I think he just might.

Heavyweightf Derrick Lewis vs. Marcin Tybura – Tybura should dominate, and Lewis will probably still win.

Lightweight: James Vick vs. Francisco Trinaldo – Vick is too long and too classy.

Welterweight: Thiago Alves vs. Curtis Millender – Alves

Featherweight: Steven Peterson vs. Brandon Davis – Davis

Lightweight: Sage Northcutt vs. Thibault Gouti – Northcutt

Preliminary Card

Lightweight: Jared Gordon vs. Carlos Diego Ferreira – Gordon

Welterweight: Brian Camozzi vs. Geoffrey Neal – Camozzi

Flyweight: Roberto Sanchez vs. Joby Sanchez – J.Sanchez

Women’s Bantamweight: Sarah Moras vs. Lucie Pudilová – Moras

Early Preliminary Card

Welterweight: Alex Morono vs. Josh Burkman – Morono

Middleweight: Oskar Piechota vs. Tim Williams – Piechota
