Bantamweights Ed Arthur, Mike Ekundayo set to meet at Cage Warriors 95

A bantamweight fight between former BAMMA titleholder Ed Arthur and up and coming Team Titan fighter Mike Ekundayo has been added to Cage Warriors 95.

The promotion announced the news on social media earlier today.

Arthur (8-3) has not stepped foot inside the cage since December of 2016, where he lost a decision to Tural Ragimov at ACB 50. The majority of Arthur’s performances have came under BAMMA banner, where he has defeated names such as Cameron Else, Alan Philpott, and even Nathaniel Wood. After defeating the aforementioned Else, “King” made his ACB debut, going 1-2 under the promotion.

Ekundayo (6-0) has for a long time been billed as a top prospect on the UK MMA scene. With the nickname “Ekundayo Airlines” the London based fighter has accumulated a 11-0 record if you combine his amateur and professional bouts. After fighting on his coach Brad Pickett’s show ‘Rise of Champions’, and UCMMA, Ekundayo hit the big time in his previous bout, with his victory over Tom Mearns at Bellator 200 going viral due to the nature of the injury that brought the fight to a halt.

Cage Warriors 95 takes place live from the Indigo at the O2 in London, England on Saturday, July 21. Five other bouts have been confirmed for the card at this time.
