Medals All Around for Ireland on Amateur World Finals Day

A fantastic week for Irish amateur MMA ended today with 5 medals at the IMMAF/WMMAA world championships in Bahrain.

SBG’s Lee Hammond won gold this evening after Owen Roddy uber prospect Ger Harris earlier in the day also took top honours. Corkman Ryan Spillane will also be an amateur world champion as his opponent failed to take to the scale. Silver medals on day also came the way of Paddy Wilkinson and Trevor Makengo.

Hat tip to Petesy Carroll for the fantastic coverage, check out his tweets below.
