De Fries, Parke, Soldic and more Announced For KSW 50

KSW have released the trailer for their landmark event, KSW 50. The Polish promotion has announced some of the names that will compete at their annual London card in the SSE Wembley Arena on September 14th. This gala is shaping up to be the biggest European card of the year.

England’s own Phil De Fries (17-6) is looking to break Polish hearts again as he defends his KSW Heavyweight title for the third time. Sunderland’s De Fries successfully retained his title last October in the same arena at KSW 45 against former champion Karol Bedorf. Standing across the cage from him on fight night will be fellow UFC veteran Damian Grabowski (22-5), who is looking to build on his KSW debut win in his last outing (also against Bedorf).

Bushmill’s Norman Parke (27-6-1) is looking to make it 5 wins in a row and to set up a third fight against Mateusz Gamrot as he fights for the interim KSW Lightweight title. Parke will need to be on top of his game as his challenger, Marian Ziółkowski (21-7-1), has picked up 2 very impressive wins in KSW since moving up to lightweight. This fight sees Parke returning to lightweight after some recent forays into the higher weight classes. The Ulsterman has hired a nutritionist and has planned a 5 week camp in Poland to prepare for this bout.

It was also announced that KSW Lightheavyweight champion Tomasz Narkun and KSW Welterweight champion Roberto Soldić will be defending their titles in the SSE Wembley Arena. Olympic hero Damian Janikowski returns on this card, as does Antoni Chmielewski who will be celebrating his 50th fight at KSW’s 50th numbered event. Chmielewski made his first promotional appearance at KSW 2.

KSW 50 comes live from the SSE Wembley Arena on September 14th. For those unable to attend in person, the card will be live on KSWTV.com.
