UFC 256 Results

On Saturday night, the flyweight title was up for grabs in the UFC Apex, Las Vegas.. Deiveson Figueiredo and Brandon Moreno competed for the belt in the main event. In the co-main event Tony Ferguson and Charles Oliveira threw down in the lightweight division.

Chase Hooper had a stunning come from behind victory in his featherweight battle with Peter Barrett. Barrett had done well in the first two rounds, beating up the leg of Hooper. Hooper, who is 21 years old, went for a imanari roll, and locked in a heel hook in round three.

Tecia Torres put on an utterly dominant displays in beating Sam Hughes in the 115-pound division. Hughes said she could not see in between rounds one and two. Although willing to continue, the Doctor stepped in a stopped the fight, which was the correct decision.

Canada’s own Gavin Tucker looked unstoppable in his 145-pound fight with Billy Quarantillo. Tucker took home the unanimous decision after a hard fought three rounds.

Rafael Fiziev put on a stunning display when he knocked out Renato Moicano in round one of their lightweight encounter.

Cub Swanson scored his first knockout victory since 2013 when he stopped Daniel Pineda in round two of the 145-pound battle. Swanson fought for the first time since a bad knee injury and looked very good in his comeback win.

Ciryl Gane opened up the main card with a second round stoppage of former UFC heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos.

Kevin Holland won his fifth fight in 2020 when he knocked out Jacare Souza in the first round of their 185-pound fight.

Mackenzie Dern def. Virna Jandiroba by unanimous decision in the strawweight division to move to 10-1.

Charles Oliveira dominated Tony Ferguson over three round to take home a one sided unanimous decision.

UFC flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo and Brandon Moreno went to war in the main event. The fight was scored a majority draw in what was one of the fights of the year.
