PFL 2021 #2: Regular Season Results

Welterweight’s and light heavyweights kicked off their seasons on Thursday night. Rory MacDonald made his PFL debut against Curtis Millender in the main event. Last years champion Ray Cooper III went up against Jason Ponet in the co-main event.

Marthin Hamlet Neilsen put Dan Spohn to sleep in the opening bout of the night. Beautiful arm-triangle choke from the guard from the Norwegian.

Cezar Ferreira picked up maximum points in his PFL debut. The Brazilian dismantled Nick Roehrick very early in the first round.

Tom Lawlor tasted defeat in his return to action after a three year lay-off. Antonio Carlos Junior latched onto a guillotine choke at the end of the points. Lawlor was forced to tap an “Shoeface” took home maximum points.

Last season’s champion Emiliano Sordi defeated Chris Camozzi on the judges scorecards in what turned out to be a real slugfest in the 205-pound division.

Last years welterweight champion Ray Cooper III dominated Jason Ponet and got a first round submission. Cooper III picked up a maximum of 6 points for the victory.

“The Red King” Rory MacDonald was successful on his PFL debut. The Canadian pulled off a very slick submission when he took out Curtis Millender in the first round.

Light Heavyweight: Cezar Ferreira def. Nick Roehrick via KO (punches)at 0:37 of round 1

Welterweight: Sadibou Sy vs. Nikolay Aleksakhin is declared a no-contest (accidental eyepoke) – Round 2, 1:56

Light Heavyweight: Marthin Hamlet Neilsen def. Dan Spohn via submission (arm-triangle choke) at 0:52 of round 2
