UFC 263 Results

Check out the highlights and the official results from the UFC 263 card which took place Saturday night in Glendale, Arizona.

Carlos Felipe defeated Jake Collier via split decision in the opening bout of the evening. Both fighters set a tremendous pace in the fight and the Brazilian just did enough to get the nod on the scorecards.

Terrance McKinney knocked out Matt Frevola after just seven seconds of the fight. McKinney took the fight on just a few days notice, he had just fought 8 days previously anh managed to pick up the quickest finish in UFC lightweight history.

Movsar Evloev took home a decision victory over Hakeem Dawodu and looked very good doing so. Evloev was shaken on the feet from his Canadian opponent but the undefeated Russian dominated large portions of the fight.

Lauren Murphy may have booked herself as the next challenger to Valentina Shevchenko’s flyweight title. Murphy took home a close decision victory over Joanne Calderwood to move to 5-0 in her last five fights.

Eryk Anders and Darren Stewart fought all the way to the the judges scorecards in their middleweight rematch. The fight was evenly contested throughout but Anders pulled away towards the end of the second round to take the win.

Drew Dober and Brad Riddell took home FOTN bonunes in their lightweight contest. Both fighters kayed it all on the line, landing big shots throughout the fight. Riddell got the nod from all three judges to pick up the win.

Scottish man, Paul Craig snacted and dislocated Jamahal Hill’s arm in the first round of their light heavyweight battle. The ref was forced to step in and stop the fight as Hill was not medically able to continue.

Leon Edwards looked massively impressive while beating Nate Diaz to a unanimous decision. It looked like plain sailing for the Birmingham man but Diaz caught him with a 1-2 in the last minute on the fight to almost snatch the victory from under the defeat of his opponant.

Brandon Moreno put on the performance of his career to become the new flyweight world champion. Moreno dropped champion Deiveson Figueiredo in round one, he finished the fight in round three with a rear naked choke to become the first Mexican born champion in UFC history.

Israel Adesanya retain his middleweight title in rather easy fashion when he rematched Marvin Vettori in the main event. Vettori had the chance to become Italy’s first UFC champion but he was unable to get any offence going for the majority of the fight. Adesanya got the unanimous decision victory on all three judges scorecards.
