Pa Lehane to face Sebastian Santana Guedes at Combate Global 4-man Tournament

SBG Cork fighter Pa Lehane will make his professional debut in a 4-man tournament on the Combate Global promotion.

The tournament will take place in Miami, Florida on August 1st in the lightweight division. The eventual winner of the tournament will be awarded a contract with Combate Global.

The other fighters who will compete in the tournament are Maxime Giacalone (5-5) who fights out of France. Sebastian Santana Guedes (8-3-1), he fights out of Spain, and undefeated Italian prospect Gianluca Rocca (6-0). The winner of the tournament will earn his country a spot in the annual, year-end “COPA COMBATE,” one-night, eight-man, $100,000 grand prize tournament.

SevereMMA can reveal that Lehane will take on Sebastian Santana Guedes in the tournament semi-final stage. If he was to win that, he would move on to fight either Rocca or Giacalone in the final on the same night.

Combate Global which was previously called Combate Americas is an American mixed martial arts sports franchise and media company directed toward a Hispanic audience. Campbell McLaren, the CEO and Founder of Combate Global, is also the co-founder/co-creator of the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

In late June 2021, Combate Global announced that CBS Sports, through CBS Sports Network and Paramount Plus, would become the English language home for Combate Global.

The date and weight class of the 2021 “COPA COMBATE” tournament will be announced soon by the promotion.

The tournament will be formatted as follows:
