Brian Moore vs. Nikita Mikhailov set for Bellator 269

Severe MMA has confirmed with sources within the promotion that Bellator bantamweight Brian Moore will face Nikita Mikhailov in his next outing. The bout will take place at Bellator’s upcoming event in Moscow on October 23rd.

Bellator 269 will be headlined by the fight slated to be MMA legend Fedor Emelianenko’s last ever, as he takes on Tim Johnson. Moore vs. Mikhaolov will be featured on the preliminary portion of the card.

Wexford’s Moore has been in the form of his career in the last few years, winning 4 of 5 fights following a great display against Bellator’s pound-for-pound best fighter AJ McKee. Moore’s last outing came at the end of July as he put on a superb 15-minute clinic to beat gritty American Jordan Winski.

On the other side of the cage, although no stranger to the promotion with teammates Fedor, Vadim Nemkov and more signed, Nikita Mikhailov will be making his Bellator debut. The Russian stands currently at 7-1 in his professional career losing only to Aleksandr Podlesniy. This will be Mikhailov’s first fight since 2019 when he was the sole defeat of Mukhamed Eminov’s 18-fight career so far.

With a Bellator bantamweight tournament being hinted at by fighters and the promotion alike, a win here, for Moore especially, could go a long way to securing a place in the rankings and the tournament itself.
