2022 World Championships: Day 2 Results and Day 3 Schedule for Team Ireland

Day 2 is in the books and Ireland had mixed luck on the day but can plenty of positives from the day.

Jake Ngai and Eoghan Masoliver got Ireland off the a flying start. Ngai opened up the day with TKO/KO finish over highly rated Yurii Pasych (Ukraine). Eoghan Masoliver that up with a quick submission victory Kamariddin Bekmurodov.

Lisa Houston and Eabha Cruise added wins for Ireland later in the day. Houston scored a kneebar win over Martina Corradi (Italy) while Cruise submitted Isabel Sierra Martinez (Mexico)

Megan Hamill, Kerry Ann Vernon and Jordan Bradshaw lost their respective bouts to exit the competition.

Sarah Elliott-Sheridan begins her push for a medal on Day 3 of the competition, and a rematch from IÚR FC 4 will take place when Eabha Cruise meets Raquel Gonzalez Garcia (Spain).
