2022 World Championships: Jake Ngai Secures Medal Spot for Ireland on Day 3

Day 3 of the 2022 IMMAF World Championships saw Jake Ngai continue his fine run of form as he picked up his second win of the competition to secure Ireland’s only medal spot at the tournament.

The slick grappler has been a joy to watch over the tournament as he continues to improve with every bout and now sees himself two fights short of becoming a world champion.

Eoghan Masoliver, Sarah Elliott-Sheridan, Lisa Houston, and Eabha Cruise were all in action too, but failed to progress into the semi-finals.

Ngai’s win sees Ireland continue its run of winning a medal at IMMAF events and will take on Kazakhstan’s Chingis Idrissov in the third fight on Cage 3.
