UFC 287 – Severe MMA Staff Predictions

A grudge match is slated for Miami, Florida this Saturday as Alex “Poatan” Pereira and Israel “The Last Stylebender” Adesanya look to settle their score once and for all in the main event of UFC 287. Thrice the victor, two times in kickboxing and most recently in MMA, Pereira has graduated from a looming shadow of Adesanya’s past to middleweight champion of the world. It will either be redemption for Adesanya, or the final chapter of a lopsided story in Pereira’s favour.

The co-main event pits local Miami hero Jorge “Gamebred” Masvidal against Boca Raton resident Gilbert “Durinho” Burns. Two tenured UFC veterans and former title contenders, there are potential championship ramifications for the victor. Though Colby Covington has been promised a title shot by Dana White and co, welterweight king Leon “Rocky” Edwards will surely be watching this matchup closely.
