Ilya Freymanov To Hunt For Second Win Against Shinechagtga Zoltsetseg At ONE Fight Night 11

He may only be one contest into his ONE Championship tenure, but featherweight prospect Ilya Freymanov could push further into World Title contention at ONE Fight Night 11: Eersel vs. Menshikov.

The Russian powerhouse dispatched former two-division ONE World Champion Martin Nguyen in one round to open his account and storm into the #3-ranked position of the stacked weight class at ONE on Prime Video 2 last October.

The debut win shocked the world. And if he can do it again against Shinechagtga Zoltsetseg inside Bangkok, Thailand’s Lumpinee Boxing Stadium on Saturday, 10th June, Freymanov’s threat will be undeniable.

He rides a four-fight winning streak into his meeting with the Mongolian star, with a dominant record of 11-2 and nine finishes to his name, so the Kuznya Fight Club representative will fancy his chances of continuing his march towards Tang Kai’s divisional gold that evening.

However, standing across the ring from Freymanov will be Zoltsetseg, a familiar name to ONE fans who returns to action after two years away.

The featherweight firestarter has amassed five victories in seven promotional outings, with four of those wins coming via devastating knockout.

Zoltsetseg built a reputation as a destructive contender in the featherweight division during his time in ONE Warrior Series. He was last seen at ONE on TNT II in April 2021, where an illegal kick in his bout with Yoshiki Nakahara led to his disqualification.

Because of that, he’ll be looking to reassert himself in the fold when he meets his Russian foe in the Circle on 10th June.

And if his record is anything to go by, fans should expect him to be throwing fire in order to do so, meaning Freymanov will need to be on top form to score his second win.
