Marcus “Buchecha” Almeida Set To Face “Reug Reug” Oumar Kane at ONE Fight Night 13

ONE Fight Night 13: Allazov vs. Grigorian just got a whole lot bigger.

As per an announcement by ONE early this week, heavyweight hitters Marcus “Buchecha” Almeida and “Reug Reug” Oumar Kane will bolster the exciting card on Saturday, 5th August, in a mixed martial arts showdown that has been a long time in the making.

Fans will be hoping that third times the charm for this pair of behemoths, who have been booked to face each other on two previous occasions.

Injuries nixed both meetings, meaning this heavyweight contest will be one of the most-anticpated fights of the year.

Since arriving in ONE, “Buchecha” has amassed an unblemished run, winning all four of his outings inside the first round.

He was last seen at ONE on Prime Video 1 in August 202, where he took out former ONE World Title challenger Kirill Grishenko in just over a minute to catapult himself into the division’s elite.

Now, having reached the upper echelons of ever-evolving heavyweight divison, the 17-time Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu World Champion will meet arguably his toughest adversary in Kane at ONE Fight Night 13.

A known name before arriving at The Home of Martial Arts, “Reug Reug” possesses a set of powerful skills that have troubled foes so far in the Circle.

The Senegalese Wrestling Champion has had to overcome injuries during his ONE tenure that have set him back slightly. But he sports an impressive 4-1 slate in the Singapore-based promotion and currently rides a two-fight winning streak.

His latest outing saw him score a dominant unanimous decision victory against Jasur Mirzamukhamedov at ONE on Prime Video 5 last December.

Their victor between these immovable objects will create a stir atop the heavyweight division, and they could be launched directly into contention to challenge for the divisional crown.

Who they would face is up in the air as of yet, however, as heavyweight king Arjan Bhullar and interim titleholder Anatoly Malykhin will meet to unify the World Titles on Friday, 9th June at ONE Friday Fights 22.
