ONE Fight Night 14: Stamp vs. Ham Preview

With multiple World Titles hanging in the balance, ONE Fight Night 14: Stamp vs. Ham promises to be a historic night of combat sports action.

The Saturday, 30th September, main event sees Thai megastar Stamp Fairtex collide with South Korean veteran Ham Seo Hee for the ONE Interim Women’s Atomweight MMA World Title in the main event, and who will win it is anybody’s guess.

Stamp has come a long way in a relatively short amount of time since fully transitioning from the striking arts to MMA.

The former atomweight Muay Thai and kickboxing queen has amassed a 10-2 record in the all-encompassing sport, with victories over the likes of Alyona Rassohyna and Jihin Radzuan, as well as a star-making performance against Alyse Anderson this past May at ONE Fight Night 10.

This weekend’s battle won’t be her first glimpse at MMA gold, either, as she challenged longtime ONE Women’s Atomweight MMA World Champion Angela Lee at ONE X in March 2022.

The Fairtex standout learned important lessons from the second-round defeat she suffered at the hands of “Unstoppable,” and she has come roaring back since with two impressive wins in the MMA ranks.

The top-ranked divisional contender’s grappling game has improved greatly, and she’ll look to implement it along with her dynamic striking against her more experienced foe.

Ham is in the form of her life and has added three wins to her winning streak, which stands at nine overall since joining ONE in 2021.

The South Korean standout bested Filipina star Denice Zamboanga in back-to-back performances, and she booked her place in Saturday’s World Title tilt by defeating Itsuki Hirata last March at ONE Fight Night 8.

Stamp and Ham are more than deserving of their shot at interim atomweight MMA gold, and fans can expect them to put on a barnburner while they battle for it at ONE Fight Night 14.

Saturday’s co-main event will see ONE Strawweight Muay Thai World Champion Smilla Sundell defend her crown for the first time against atomweight Muay Thai queen Allycia Hellen Rodrigues in a champion-versus-champion encounter.

The Swedish sensation was originally set to take on American Jackie Buntan. But after the American withdrew, Rodrigues stepped in, as she is looking to add to her list of World Champions she has overcome so far in ONE.

Elsewhere, an inaugural queen will be crowned when Danielle Kelly locks up with old rival Jessa Khan for the first-ever ONE Women’s Atomweight Submission Grappling World Title.

The pair first crossed paths in 2021, with Khan earning the decision victory that night. Now, the grappling standouts meet again, and the glistening gold will loom large over their battle that has been two years in the making.

Away from the World Title tilts, ONE Women’s Strawweight MMA World Champion Xiong Jing Nan and Nat “Wondergirl” Jaroonsak will square off in ONE’s first-ever special rules striking bout.

The spectacle will see the pair competing in four-ounce MMA gloves over three three-minute rounds, with only closed-fist punches deemed legal. All kicks, knees, and elbows will not be permitted in this intriguing showdown.
