Stamp Fairtex To Defend ONE Women’s Atomweight MMA World Title Against Denice Zamboanga At ONE 167

When she claimed the ONE Women’s Atomweight MMA World Championship in her last bout, Stamp Fairtex became the first three-sport World Champion in the promotion’s history.

But this summer, it will be time for the Thai superstar to cement her reign by defending the coveted crown.

Stamp will face off against #2-ranked atomweight MMA contender Denice Zamboanga in the main event of ONE 167 on Saturday, 8th June, live from Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Over the course of her ONE Championship tenure, the Fairtex Training Centre standout has come up against the very best in kickboxing, Muay Thai, and MMA.

Her initial stint saw her capture the World Titles in both striking sports, but it wasn’t until she decided to focus her attention on mixed martial arts that her star really began to soar.

She quickly rose through the atomweight division and earned the chance to challenge longtime queen Angela Lee at ONE X in March 2022.

Though she was unsuccessful that time out, Stamp never took her eyes off the prize, and a string of wins allowed her the opportunity to compete for the interim crown against Ham Seo Hee at ONE Fight Night 14 last September.

In a faithful turn of events, Lee announced that she was relinquishing retiring from competition just before that battle set to take place, so Stamp and Ham were tasked with taking each other on for the undisputed ONE Women’s Atomweight MMA World Title.

The dancing dynamo from Pattaya overcame “Hamzzang” that evening via third-round stoppage to claim the gold and take her place in the history books.

But winning a strap is one thing. Defending it is another, and Stamp will have a difficult challenge to overcome in Zamboanga at ONE 167.

The Filipina star has been in the World Title conversation for some time, given that she scored three wins in a row after joining ONE Championship in 2019.

Though this will be her first shot at a belt, she has amassed back-to-back wins in her last two outings and sits firmly in the #2-ranked position in the women’s atomweight MMA division.

“The Menace” is also familiar with Stamp, having trained with her at Fairtex over the years, so fans can expect her to have a good insight into the World Champion’s game when their tilt goes down this June.
