Redmond misses weight, Seery makes 125 lbs

For the first time ever two Team Ryano men will fight on a UFC card in the same night. Today, they weighed in – with mixed results.

Neil Seery was first to the scale and made 125 lbs for his third UFC bout with Chris Beal. Unfortunately, though, Paul Redmond came in overweight. “Redser” tipped the scale at 149 lbs, three pounds over the allowed limit, and will not attempt to weigh in again thus giving up a percentage of his purse.

After taking the fight on just two weeks’ notice it was always going to be difficult for Redmond who was cutting to featherweight for the first time after plying his trade at lightweight for every fight in his career to date.
