Undefeated Irish prospect Ian “The Future” Garry (7-0) is set to make his eagerly-anticipated UFC debut in a welterweight bout versus Jordan “Bomaye” Williams (9-5) at UFC 268 on Saturday 6th November. The promotion announced the matchup, which is scheduled to take place in the iconic Madison Square Garden, via Twitter on Wednesday afternoon.

Since splitting from Team KF, Garry has been training under the tutelage of Henri Hooft at Sanford MMA in Florida ahead of his UFC debut. After an electric run on the Irish and UK MMA scene, the Dubliner claimed the Cage Warriors welterweight title in a dominant decision victory over European veteran Jack Grant in his most recent outing at CW125 in June. The UFC were quick to snap up “The Future” following the win, and Garry vacated his welterweight title when he signed for the UFC back in July.

Speaking via text to SevereMMA today Garry said “MSG, I’m starting the legacy the right way, be ready – the bigger the stage the brighter I shine.”

Jordan Williams punched his ticket to the UFC after a first-round finish over Gregory Rodrigues on the 2020 season of Dana White’s Contender Series, but he has yet to notch his first official victory in the UFC. Since joining the promotion, “Bomaye” dropped a decision to Nassourdine Imavov, and the 30-year-old was most recently submitted by Mickey Gall in the first round.
