IÚR FC 2 card announced; three champions to be crowned

After a successful debut show, IÚR Fighting Championships are returning with a stacked amateur card on November 21st. Three titles will be on the line in Newry as the promotion looks to crown their first trio of champions.

Abanoub Fares steps in for Ruairi Lavery to take on Youcef Oukacine for the Featherweight strap. Fares is hoping to bounce back from on a two fight skid following a promising start to the year. He lost via a submission in his last bout on the promotion’s debut show, but will now step up and hope to become the promotion’s inaugural Featherweight champion. As for Oukacine, this will be his fourth bout in under 12 months as he maintains a solid run of activity. He is currently 2-1 as an amateur and narrowly lost in his last bout, despite a strong performance.

The Lightweight title will be up for grabs as highly touted prospect and IMMAF Youth World Champion Maximus Lally is hoping to pick up his second amateur belt before the year is out. Lally now has two fights lined up by the end of the year following his recent title win at Cage Legacy. He is staying active by booking in this title fight before he defends his Cage Legacy belt the following month later.

Zurabov impressed in his promotional debut in September, outpointing Denis Frimpong. He went on to fight for the 175lb belt at Cage Legacy 13 but failed to get the decision. The exciting Samson MMA fighter will be hoping to make up for that loss by dropping down to 155lbs and securing the first-ever IÚR FC Lightweight belt.

In the Bantamweight division, Oisin Fox and Taylor Quinn will battle it out for the belt. Fox is no stranger to title fights having found some success in amateur Muay Thai. He is currently on a 3-fight tear and his only loss has been via a narrow split decision to Ryan Hanly.

Across from him will be IMMAF World Cup Silver Medalist Taylor Quinn, who went on an amazing streak while representing his country in Prague. He’s found plenty of success regionally too, going 2-0 in 2021, fighting on Cage Conflict and Cage Legacy.

The card will be shown live via PPV. Full card is as follows.
