John Lineker vs. Kim Jae Woong Scheduled For ONE Fight Night 13

Fresh off a two-fight saga with newly crowned ONE bantamweight champion Fabricio Andrade, former divisional king John Lineker will return with a point to prove at ONE Fight Night 13: Allazov vs. Grigorian on 5th August.

The Brazilian veteran will meet Kim Jae Woong at the event inside Bangkok, Thailand’s historic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium, and he’ll be looking to add to his fearsome record in the bantamweight division.

Lineker won all four of his outings en route to championship glory, with three of those coming in knockout fashion against Kevin Belingon, Troy Worthen, and Bibiano Fernandes, whom he took the ONE Bantamweight Title from inside two rounds in March 2022.

“Hands of Stone” then went on to feature in a frantic feud with fellow Brazilian brawler Fabricio Andrade.

He was stripped of the crown for failing to make the weight ahead of their first encounter at ONE on Prime Video 3 last October, which ended in a no-contest ruling after “Wonder Boy” landed an illegal shot, and he ultimately failed to regain it in their second Title matchup earlier this year.

Andrade ended Lineker’s Title hopes with a fourth-round stoppage, but he’ll be looking to start his climb back to the top in style on 5th August.

His opponent, Kim, will be just as motivated to score an emphatic win, however. After sitting in the featherweight rankings for some time, the South Korean moved to bantamweight last year, and results have been varied so far.

Kim made his name known in the division by dispatching former king Kevin Belingon inside one frame at ONE on Prime Video 4, then dropped a decision loss to Shoko Sato in his most recent appearance this past January.

That fight may have been at catchweight, but “The Fighting God” will undoubtedly be hungry to score another win in his new weight class nonetheless.

Lineker would be the perfect opponent to do that against, so fans can rest assured that both men will come out all guns blazing at ONE Fight Night 13.
