Henry ‘Herculeez’ Fadipe (5-5) has signed to fight with EFC Africa and is set to face Tumelo Maphutha (3-4) at EFC Africa 19 after his original opponent Armand de Bruyn was forced to withdraw due to personal reasons.

MMA Lucan product Fadipe is 3-1 in his last 4 bouts with a rear naked choke submission over John Redmond and TKO victories over Kevin Del and previously unbeaten Charlie Watts.

Tumelo Maphutha is coming off a seven second KO of previously undefeated Chris du Pont at EFC Africa 18 back in March, breaking a 3 fight losing streak including a controversial loss by disqualification to current EFC Africa middleweight champion Liam Cleland, where many debated if the kick to the grounded Cleland actually landed.

Maphutha spoke to EFCAfrica

“I couldn’t prepare for my fight against Chris,”

“I knew I was not fit enough. I knew it was a case of me knocking him out, or he knocking me out. So I went full force. I had to win.”

“I’m very happy to fight. This time I have time to prepare so I will not be slowing down. I will be ready.”
